Attention: Vandalism in Preschool Parking Lot

Over the past few days, including the weekend, individuals have been doing donuts in the back preschool parking lot. This area was recently repaired, with significant time, effort, and resources spent to fix potholes and provide our bus drivers with a smooth and safe surface for student transportation.

Unfortunately, the recent damage now requires our maintenance staff to revisit and repair the area again—diverting time and resources away from other important work.

While we understand that some may see this as harmless fun, this type of behavior is unacceptable on school property. We have video evidence and have identified those involved. We are asking that you please contact the school directly so we can address this internally.

If no one comes forward, this matter will be turned over to the sheriff’s office for further action.

K-5 Families! Introducing Dog Days of Summer – a special summer learning program presented in partnership with Twin Star Credit Union! 🎩✨ History Came to Life! ✨🎩 Our 5th Grade Wax Museum was a huge hit! Students stepped into the shoes of famous figures from history, bringing the past to life with impressive costumes, props, and speeches. From presidents to pioneers, inventors to icons—this annual tradition continues to inspire curiosity, confidence, and creativity. Amazing job, 5th graders!

Sweet Traditions! 🥧 Our 4th grade students and their families gathered for the annual Pioneer Week Pie Social—a cherished tradition filled with homemade pies, smiles, and community spirit. A delicious way to celebrate the past together! Thursday will be the annual Wax Museum

Second Grade Takes on Point Defiance Zoo! 🐾🚌🌿 Yesterday, our amazing 2nd graders had a wild adventure at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium! From playful otters to towering tigers, students explored incredible exhibits, learned all about animal habitats, and got an up-close look at some of nature’s most fascinating creatures. 🦁🐧🦋 The day was packed with curiosity, discovery, and a whole lot of smiles! 🚍 Transportation Surplus – Bus Available Onalaska School District has declared a transportation vehicle as surplus. Staff may view the item from May 28–June 10. If not claimed, a bid will be set and: June 11–12: Viewing open to public schools, private schools, and homeschool families. June 13–23: Open to the general public. Deadline to submit sealed bids: June 23 at 3:00 p.m. Bids may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Onalaska District Office. The highest bidder will be notified by 3:15 p.m. on June 23. Kindness is groovy! 🌈 Our kindergarteners in Miss Edminster's class rocked their tie-dye today to spread good vibes and kindness during Kindness Week!

Second Grade Easter Egg Hunt Fun! Second grade had an egg-cellent afternoon celebrating with a special Easter egg hunt! A big thank you to Bethel Church for donating the eggs, which were filled with fun surprises like candy, McDonald's sundae coupons, and even instant prizes like Peeps and mini Squishmallows! Some lucky students found QR codes hidden in their eggs that they brought home so parents/guardians could enter them into drawings for big prizes, including a $50 Walmart gift card, $50 Amazon gift card, and a Nintendo Switch Lite! The excitement and smiles were everywhere—what a wonderful way to celebrate together!

Last weeks Bookfair was a success!

📢 Playground Construction Notice We’re excited to share that construction has begun on the new playshed on the playground! 🚧 While this is an exciting addition for our students, we want to emphasize that the construction area is off-limits for everyone’s safety. Unfortunately, over the weekend, some individuals moved the fencing that was put in place to secure the site. This is not permitted and creates a serious safety hazard. We kindly ask all parents and guardians to remind their children to stay away from the construction area at all times. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe as we work to improve our playground! 🛠️
