Our students reached their goal of 1,234 books for Read Across America Week! Because of their amazing reading efforts, Mr. Markuson kept his promise and kissed a pig during our assembly on Wednesday, March 4th… dressed as Captain Underpants! 🦸‍♂️🐷💋

We are so proud of our students for rising to the challenge and showing just how powerful a love of reading can be. The pig may have been adorable, but our readers are the real stars of the week! ⭐📖

📚🐾 Yesterday, Tuesday, March 3rd, our 1st grade students enjoyed a special visit from Brian Price and the K9 Unit!

📚✨ Read Across America – Day 1 Update! ✨📚

What an incredible start to the week! Our students are hard at work turning in their reading coupons, and we’ve already collected over 300 books toward our goal of 1,234 books… all leading up to Mr. Markuson’s big smooch on Wednesday! 💋📖

Today we also welcomed guest readers in every elementary grade, with wonderful volunteers from the Onalaska School Board, Onalaska Fire Department, and our High School students sharing their time and love of reading.

A special shoutout to Mrs. Stingley’s 7th period Leadership class for helping in the library and reading with our 2nd grade students — your leadership made a difference!

We’re off to a fantastic start and can’t wait to see how many books we can collect this week! 📚❤️

Every week Mrs. Stingley's middle school Leadership class visits Mrs. Olsen's Kindergarten room. Last Tuesday was Kindergarten's 100th day of school. We celebrated by creating a delicious trail mix made up of 10 different snacks (10 of each kind). After enjoying our snacks it was off to centers for some fun learning.
