Library Day in Preschool ๐โจ
Library Day is one of our preschoolersโ favorite times of the month! The excitement fills the classroom when our friends from the Timberland Library come to visit, bringing a fresh selection of books for students to check out and enjoy.
Each month, the librarian thoughtfully chooses stories that tie into the class lesson themesโhelping students explore new ideas, build vocabulary, and discover the joy of reading in fun, hands-on ways.
Itโs always a special day filled with curiosity, imagination, and smiles as our young readers dive into new adventuresโone story at a time! ๐

๐ What a wonderful morning at our Guests like Grandparents Breakfast! ๐
We were thrilled to welcome 261 students and 172 adults to share a meal together. The smiles and connections made this event extra special. ๐
A big thank you to our first responders from the Lewis County Sheriffโs Office and Lewis County Fire District 1 for stopping by to make sure every student had a breakfast buddy.
An extra special thanks goes to our fabulous food service crew. Their hard work makes events like this possible year after year.
As a district, we look forward to these moments all year long, and we couldnโt do it without the support of our staff and community. ๐๐

Each month, I have one token to award a student, allowing them to choose a book from the book vending machine, generously donated from Peak Credit Union. The students and I decided to select the winner using the Wheel of Names, a random name picker. Students earn a spot on the wheel by turning in any homework during the month. This monthโs winner was Lucasโcongratulations! Everyone is excited for the next drawing at the end of October.
Turning in homework is an important way for students to show responsibility and stay engaged with their learning. We hope this incentive encourages more students to develop these habits while fostering a love of reading by rewarding them with a book they can enjoy.

Today, our 5th graders received a special lesson in flag etiquette as they prepare to take on an important new roleโraising and lowering our schoolโs flag each day.
This responsibility is both an honor and a tradition, and we are proud to see our students stepping up with respect and pride.
A big thank you to Mr. Gerbracht for leading this meaningful lesson!
